It’s too bad your relotives won’t talk about the past, just as more and more writers are publishing books about their personal stories or fiction about Vietnam. There is Vincent Lam’ Thge Headmaster’s Wager, and Khanh Ha’s Flesh, who both wrote historical fiction about Vietnam, just published last year, in case you are interested.

Flesh is definitely on my TBR. My next read though is The Happiest Refugee by Anh Do -it’s my bookclub read and am really looking forward to it! 🙂
