Starting… Les Mis Read Along

Here We Gooo….!!!

The long anticipated day has arrived!

I just wanted to express my excitement which hopefully should also serve as a quick reminder for those who wanted to join in 🙂

I’ve got a glass of chilled rose awaiting for me with my copy of Les Mis… it’s more likely to put me asleep more than anything else 😉

So c ya later, Aligator! We’ll check back in in 2 weeks’ time.

ps: It’s nearly 8:30pm where I am.

I’ve got my book in my bag, trying to read the introduction while I am at work, it’s 330 am here. I plan to did in while I’m waiting in line for the Indiana Jones marathon at the movie theater.

Yes, it’s not too bad so far… some philosophical stuff was a little hard to digest in the evening after a long day but it wasn’t too bad 🙂

Oh dear.. I’m not off to a great start. I still haven’t ordered my copy of the Julie Rose translation, and so while I get that done, I’ll have to start on my Wordsworth edition 😦

Started this on Saturday and love the flow – I ended up going with the Denny version (Penguin classics) and it flows really well. finished up part I about the Bishop last night

I really liked part I… I think I’m entering the misery business though… I’m kinda dreading it but what else do you expect from “Les Miserables” hey?

Not sure how I’m going to make this book last until December… I’m really enjoying it and I’m nearly finished the current section already!
